Corporate, Regulatory and Financial Institutions
The firm's practice includes representation of clients in a variety of transactions and
activities and in matters before state and federal agencies, including the SEC and state
and federal courts.

CFM represents institutions in connection with commercial lending activities and related
transactions and provides representation in connection with a wide range of corporate
matters including recapitalizations, conversions, corporate reorganizations, public and
private offerings of securities and related disclosure and reporting obligations. The firm
represents institutions in a variety of geographic and product market expansion
activities including representation in mergers, acquisitions and similar transactions.


Real Estate and Business
CFM represents banks in connection with commercial asset-based and real estate
lending, and concentrates on matters involving banking, commercial real estate,
environmental, corporate and related litigation issues. The firm regularly represents
borrowers in connection with the purchase of a variety of real estate properties,
including office buildings, shopping centers and industrial buildings. CFM also regularly
advises clients on a number of "1031" tax deferred exchange issues.


Litigation
In litigation, the firm represents clients in matters before state and federal courts on
both the trial and appellate levels and works with clients in pursuing alternative dispute
resolution procedures in appropriate instances. The nature of the firm's litigation
practice is varied, encompassing matters of all kinds arising from commercial
transactions, ranging from foreclosures and workouts to cases involving securities and
bank fraud, medical malpractice, bond claims as well as professional liability, ERISA,
personal injury, employment and other contract and business disputes.
