Joe Meaney joined CFM in 1988 and serves as the head of the Firm's litigation division. Joe has extensive experience representing individuals and corporations in both Connecticut State and Federal Courts, in a variety of matters encompassing personal injury, professional malpractice litigation, and his specialty, commercial litigation.
Joe has represented individuals, corporations, financial institutions, and other entities with respect to issues of bank and securities fraud, secured transactions, lender liability, purchase and sale agreements, ERISA, pension fund and fiduciary liability, and other general corporate litigation matters.
Prior to joining CFM, Joe was a partner at the law firm of Gross, Hyde & Williams, where he cultivated an expansive litigation background. He was named the Best Lawyers® "Lawyer of the Year" in Hartford for banking and finance litigation for 2016 and 2020. He has been selected as an outstanding attorney on the Best Lawyers® Connecticut for several consecutive years for his work in commercial litigation and banking and finance law.
